Non-profit management software — donation receipts, donors and the organisation's money
Base is Israeli software for running a non-profit, in Hebrew and in the cloud: a donation receipt in a separate book with the word "donation", the non-profit's number and the Section 46 wording, a card for every donor with everything they gave, payment demands and receipts for membership fees and activities, expenses and vendors — and an income and expenses report the treasurer and the accountant understand.
The challenges of managing a non-profit's money
Donors' money, few hands, and many rules
A handwritten receipt book
A handwritten receipt for every donation, a copy left in a drawer, and a donor who asks in December for all of the year's receipts.
What must appear on the receipt
A separate book for donations, the word "donation", the Section 46 wording and a report number — and what to do with an anonymous donation.
Who gave, how much and when
Donors in one spreadsheet, donations in another, and standing orders nobody checks have arrived.
A report for the board and the accountant
Before every board meeting and at year end, someone rebuilds how much came in, from whom, and how much went out and on what.
How BaseCRM solves it
Donations, donors and expenses — in one place
A donation receipt — with everything the law asks for
A donation receipt is issued in a numbering series of its own, separate from receipts for payments, as the bookkeeping instructions for institutions require. Every receipt prints the word "donation" and the non-profit's number prominently, and when the institution holds a Section 46 approval — its wording too. The payment method is recorded with its details: the cheque number and bank, the card's last four digits or the transfer reference.
- A separate book for donations, no VAT
- Section 46 wording by the approval and its validity
- Anonymous donation in one tick

Reporting to the Tax Authority — the report number on the receipt
Since 1.1.2026 an institution approved under Section 46 reports every donation receipt to the Tax Authority. Base is not connected to that interface yet, and the system says so too: you report in the "Israel Donations" app and type the report number on the receipt — and it is printed on it with the sentence "the donation details were reported to the Tax Authority". All donation receipts are gathered in one list.
- All donation receipts in one list
- Cancellation or refund — by a negative receipt from the same book
- Email the receipt to the donor

A card for every donor
Every donor has a card with their details, the calls and meetings with them, and every receipt they received. The card shows how much they have given to date, apart from payments for activities — because a donation is not a payment against a debt. The donor's ID or company number is kept on the card and printed on their receipt.
- Each donor's total donations
- Calls, meetings and tasks for every donor
- Private donor, company or foundation — each with its own identifier

Income and expenses — for the board and the accountant
Donations are the non-profit's income, and in the income and expenses report they have a line of their own, beside the receipts for membership fees and activities. Expenses are recorded by category and by vendor, and the accountant's package prepares all the material for a period in one click. There are no VAT reports and no advances — a non-profit does not file them, so they do not appear in the menu either.
- Income and expenses report for any period
- Accountant's package in one click
- Expenses by category and vendor

Key features for running a non-profit
Non-profit / public-benefit company (amuta / chalatz)
A legal type for non-profit institutions: no VAT and no tax invoices, and the non-profit's number on every receipt.
Payment demands and receipts
For membership fees, workshops and camps — a payment demand, and a receipt when the money arrives.
Anonymous donation
A receipt issued to "Anonymous donation", as the instructions allow.
Expenses and vendors
Every expense with its vendor and category, and a reminder before a vendor's withholding certificate expires.
Appointments and tasks
A meeting with a donor, a board meeting or a volunteers' gathering — in one calendar, with the tasks that follow.
Team and permissions
The treasurer, the director and the accountant — each with their own access.
